Revitalize Your Skin

As we age, our faces naturally lose subcutaneous fat. The facial muscles are then working close to the skin surface so smile lines, hollowness, and crow’s feet become more apparent. Other factors like sun exposure, heredity, and lifestyle can also negatively affect your skin as you age. Common solutions like dermal fillers are often used to fill in wrinkles, add volume, and enhance facial contours, while neuromodulators help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by temporarily relaxing specific facial muscles. Additionally, bio-stimulating agents promote collagen production, resulting in improved skin texture and quality. Consult with our office to determine the most suitable injectable treatments for your specific goals and concerns.

Types of Injectables

Botox

Botox is a popular cosmetic treatment that involves injecting a purified form of botulinum toxin into specific muscles to temporarily paralyze them. This in turn reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, giving the skin a smoother and more youthful look. Botox is commonly used to treat dynamic wrinkles, which are caused by repetitive muscle movements, such as frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines. The effects of Botox typically last for several months, after which the treatment can be repeated to maintain the desired results.

Kybella

Kybella is a non-surgical injectable treatment specifically designed to reduce the appearance of submental fullness, often referred to as a “double chin.” It’s made of deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body, which helps break down and absorb fat cells in the targeted area. By injecting Kybella into the submental region, it can effectively contour the jawline and improve the profile. The number of treatments required may vary depending on individual goals and the amount of submental fat present. Depending on the amount of volume in the treated area, typically 2-4 treatments are needed. After treatment, Kybella patients will have moderate swelling lasting 5-7 days, then mild swelling for up to 2-3 weeks after the procedure. Patients will notice improvement after the first session, however, it is recommended to do a series of sessions spaced 8-12 weeks apart.

Juvéderm

Juvéderm is a popular brand of dermal fillers used to enhance facial contours and restore volume to areas that have lost fullness due to aging or other factors. These dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the body, and are injected into specific areas to smooth out wrinkles, plump up lips, and add volume to cheeks. The results of Juvéderm can last several months to a year, depending on the specific filler used and individual factors.

Daxxify

DAXXIFY is an FDA-approved treatment specifically designed to reduce the appearance of moderately to severely lined regions between the eyebrows. It stands out as a long-lasting solution for frown lines, powered by a peptide with remarkable results that typically persist for around 6 months.

Jeuveau

Jeuveau is a cosmetic injectable similar to Botox. It is used to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows. Jeuveau works by temporarily relaxing the underlying muscles, reducing the appearance of wrinkles, and giving the skin a smoother look. Like Botox, Jeuveau is administered through injections and the effects typically last for several months.

RHA

RHA stands for Resilient Hyaluronic Acid, which is a type of dermal filler used in aesthetic medicine to enhance and rejuvenate the skin. RHA fillers are designed to mimic the natural flexibility and resilience of the skin, making them particularly effective in areas that experience frequent movement, such as the lips and around the mouth. Compared to traditional hyaluronic acid fillers, RHA fillers are formulated to provide a more natural-looking and longer-lasting result. These fillers can help soften wrinkles, restore volume, and improve overall facial contours, giving a refreshed and youthful appearance.

Dysport

Dysport is a type of injectable treatment that is primarily used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It contains a form of botulinum toxin, similar to Botox, which works by temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause these facial wrinkles. Dysport injections are commonly used in areas like the forehead, between the eyebrows, and around the eyes. The treatment is quick and relatively painless, with results typically lasting for several months.

Will fillers and neurotoxins change my face too much?

arrow

Fillers and neurotoxins replace the volume that you have lost over the years and help maintain the structure and shape of your face. AGING changes your face, not fillers. We use neurotoxins and fillers to PREVENT your face from changing for as long as possible.

What areas of the face can you inject filler and neurotoxins?

Fillers can be injected in multiple areas of the face, cheeks, temples, nasolabial folds, lips, ear lobes, marionettes, jawline, chin, bridge of the nose, etc. There are many blood vessels in the face and if injected inappropriately, it can cause irreversible damage. When choosing your injector, you want to ensure they are a LICENSED medical professional with extensive knowledge and background in cosmetic injectables. Our licensed Nurse Injectors specialize in the Liquid Facelift.

How can I prepare for injectables?

Avoiding aspirin, all NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatories), vitamin E, and fish oil one week before your injection will help to decrease the amount of bruising. If you are unable to avoid these medications, your treatment can still be done, but they might increase your risk of bruising. Also, if you have ever suffered from cold sores around the mouth or face, let Dr. Arbabzadeh know so she can prescribe medication to help prevent cold sores from occurring after your treatment.

What can I expect after injectables?

You can expect mild swelling and bruising that can last 5-7 days following the procedure.

I am not ready for a surgical facelift procedure… can facial injectables help in the meantime?

arrow

YES! Dermal fillers and neurotoxins can improve the face’s overall appearance. We also offer multiple Total Face Transformation packages in the office. The type of result you are looking for will determine the package we recommend. Keep in mind that injectables will not give you the same results as an actual surgical procedure, but they can give you a more youthful appearance!
